In Search of Healthy Snacks

I'm always on the lookout for healthy snacks.  Not just for the kiddos, but for me as well!  These are two of my favorites:

I loved giving my kids peanut butter and apples when they were little.  Add a few cake sprinkles and they think they're eating candy!  :D

Fresh guacamole is definitely a California favorite.  For an easy recipe, just mix salsa with fresh avocado.  Baked corn chips make a healthy alternative to the typical fried-in-grease ones.  You can break the corn tortillas into quarters, place on a cookie sheet and spray a little olive oil on the pieces.  Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes.  Time and temperature can vary from oven to oven, so just keep an eye on them and you'll soon find the perfect combination.  Enjoy the crunchy goodness!
