Dr. Seuss Day - Happy Birthday, Theodor Geisel

We had so much fun making our handprints into Thing 1 and Thing 2

Of course, we had to read the story, too.

All in all - a great day!

Let it Snow...Let it Snow...Let it Snow!!

2014 was a New Year's Eve to remember!!  With Temecula's unprecedented snow flurry, residents and visitors alike found themselves marveling in the fluffy white stuff.  I didn't think I'd EVER see my play yard look like this...

But it was SO NICE to see the kids enjoying it, like this...

We toasted the New Year before we left the house, then headed out to the great Grape Drop in Old Town Temecula.

Remarkably, there was still plenty of snow left on the ground 2 days later and the lil Peas took full advantage of it!

Happy New Year, Everyone! Stay Warm

Love, Mrs. K

Merry Christmas

"It came without ribbons!  It came without tags!  It came without packages, boxes or bags!" ...Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before!  "Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store.  Maybe Christmas... perhaps... means a little bit more!"
Dr. Seuss, How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Here are a few of the projects we worked on this month:

Decorating the tree...

Our Christmas cards...

Photobooks

Paper Christmas trees

Santa Claus

December birthday party

Reindeer CandyCanes

Nature Wreaths

Happy Thanksgiving 2014

Thanksgiving came and went, but I'm catching up on my posts.  Three lil peas joined our family for Thanksgiving Dinner.  We had a fun time making turkey puppets and table decorations, and eating delicious food.

Blessings to you and yours,
Mrs. K

Halloween Party 2014

Before we get into Thanksgiving and the official "holiday season", I wanted to post the pictures from our first annual Sweet Pea Halloween Extravaganza.  Last year we only had one little cutie, but this year, we had enough for an actual party.

First,  our class roster.  I have brand new respect for elementary school photographers.  I don't know how to keep all the kiddos relatively still with their best faces forward.  Even so, the results are adorable.

Our main course for lunch was pizza with banana-ghosts.  We played games, decorated pumpkins and cupcakes, and made skeletons and halloween trees.

After the party, it was time to take my two older Peas trick-or-treating.

Stay safe, my pretties!!

Love,
Mrs. K
