Independence Day!

While it's still July, I thought I'd better post my Fourth of July wishes.  I only had one little Pea that day, so here is our project.  Hope everyone had a safe and fun July 4th !!

Babies Babies Babies!!

Moms everywhere are rejoining the workforce after the birth of their spring babies. To accommodate our littlest Peas, we have a new nursery area, with 1 crib tucked away in a quiet corner, and a second hexagonal which is perfect for a sleeping or wide awake infant.

Rest assured, your baby will be cuddled and cared for in a climate-controlled environment against a backdrop of classical music or a collection of my favorite School House Rock songs.

Come out for a visit to see if one of our limited infant spaces is right for you.  We are currently accepting full time, part time, or drop-in hours.

New Mural

I'm so excited to unveil my new wall mural!  I met a very talented young artist who happened to be  visiting from England, and lucky me - she was able to whip up this castle and window scene for me.  So, here it is...

Have an enchanting day!!

Walking the neighborhood

My daughter, Megan, came by for a visit with her Australian Shepherd. Just in time to walk with baby Caden and me.  I love getting out into the neighborhood in the mornings while it's still cool.

Cool mornings in the Summertime!!

Birthday BBQ

We had a birthday BBQ yesterday for one of my weekend Sweet Peas, and decided to do something fun with the watermelon.  I think it came out awesome!

Happy Birthday, Sophia.

A+ Rating !!!

Ok, so the County of Riverside doesn't actually have a letter rating system.  I gave myself the "A". :) The report says something really nerdy like no deficiencies were noted at this time.  It's taken me awhile to share this, but it's really good news!  It's the dreaded annual surprise inspection by County Licensing.  Sure, I know I run a top notch place, but these agents are pretty picky -  and some feel it is their duty to find at least 1 violation.  They come in, unannounced, and take about 2 hours pouring over paperwork and going through my home and yard, making sure their regulations are being carried out with regard to safety, capacity, health, cleanliness and documentation.

Let's hear it for our county inspectors who keep us on our toes, maintaining top quality in licensed daycare facilities!
